Construction of the first largest oil extraction plant in the Abay region began in June 2019 and was completed in July 2021. In 2023, the company reached its full production capacity – 1000 tons of sunflower seed processing per day. This is the highest rate in Kazakhstan, which automatically makes the oil extraction plant of QAZAQ-ASTYQ GROUP LLP the industry leader.
Today, our sunflower processing plant is one of the most powerful and modern in the country. The company has the potential to become a flagship for processing sunflower, rapeseed and flax seeds in Central Asia.
The QAZAQ-ASTYQ GROUP oil extraction plant has three stages of development.
To date, the first stage has been completed - the construction of an oil extraction plant. Output per year: 130,500 tons per year of unrefined vegetable oil, 112,500 tons per year of sunflower meal (this is a high-protein feed for livestock and fish), 660 tons per year of phosphatide concentrate (an additive used to improve the marketability of products in the food and cosmetics industry, and top dressing for livestock), 4,000 tons per year of fuel pellets from sunflower husk.
Qazaq Astyq Group products are sold in the domestic market of Kazakhstan, China, Central Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
Currently, the second stage of development of the Qazaq Astyq Group oil extraction plant is being implemented - the construction of a sunflower oil refining plant, a bottled oil filling and packaging line. The design production capacity is 200 tons per day. It is planned to create 111 jobs. Commissioning works are scheduled for December 2025.
And in 2027, the third stage of the company's development is planned – the construction and launch of a plant for the production of fat substitutes.
Currently, the company employs 440 employees. But the number of jobs is expected to increase. In addition to standard social packages, the company offers free transportation of employees and free meals. Since the oil extraction plant is classified as a hazardous production facility, special attention is paid to labor protection.
